This Urban Network Study comprised an analysis of the dynamics between the cities of Bahia state, to support the development of more effective public policies for the state government.

 

Analytical products were elaborated regarding hierarchy, classification, region of influence, and multiscale characterization of the municipalities of Bahia. The basic needs of urban life, growth rates, migration rates, socioeconomic situations and strategic investments, among other aspects, were studied.

 

Finally, a general framework for strengthening the Bahian network was presented, through recommendations of priorities for government intervention, supported by the pursuit of social inequalities reduction, the greater articulation between the Regions of Influence, and the optimization of financial institutional efforts.
