About
Brasília’s North Exit BRT Urban Transport Study
The development of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Corridor – North Exit Project involved the analysis of demand, traffic loads, and economic viability, aiming to optimize traffic flow in the northern region of Brasília.
It included traffic zoning, the Private and Collective Transport Analytical Network, the Origin-Destination Matrix, and coordination with the existing road system from the 2020–2030 Urban Transport Master Plan.
Through the revisions, traffic allocation was carried out, introducing BRT lines displaced from the North Axis, which reduced travel time and distance traveled, as shown in the traffic macro-simulation.
